The third day was very strange, but awesome. Benja and I caught the train back to Verviers where we met Laurie at the trainstation. Meeting her was good thing no. 1. We walked together to Benja's dad's store, and then had lunch with him and Charline. I think that was good thing no. 2. Eventually it was time to go back home, and after half sleeping by the pool for a while, I got so restless that I forced Benja and Laurie to come with me on an adventure. We went up a hill to find a castle, but when we got there we found there was only a stone left. Boring. Walked down again and started making some dinner. I got so tired and dizzy I had to go to bed for a while, and woke up again at 9 pm. By that time, Benja's friends were sitting outside and I went to say hi to them, wishing I could speak a bit more french... But we had a lovely time, and little did I know it was going to get even better. Because after an hour or so, I suddenly heard a familiar voice saying "Hi guys!". I turned around, and there was SELINA (awesome friend who I met in NZ and who lives in Switzerland and who was suddenly very much in the wrong (or right) place. I started half crying, making strange noices and running away because HOLY MOLY I didn't understand anything at all. But Laurie and Selina had organized a little surprise (biggest underestimation ever), and Selina had booked a ticket a couple of weeks earlier. I think I have the best friends in the world.
Här är de ju! // Here they are!
Den fjärde dagen tog vi en jättelång sovmorgon (och slösade bort Selinas enda hela dag i Belgien...), för att på eftermiddagskvisten ta oss till Benjas basketmatch. Såhär kul kan man ha...
The fourth day we woke up terribly late and did nothing at all (and wasted Selina's only whole day in Belgium...) until we went to Benja's basketball game in the late afternoon. We had so much fun...
When Benja had finished playing we went and met up with Donatien and Laurent, two of Benja's friends. Had a lovely dinner (well needed after a cucumber-lunch) at a nice restaurant, and after visiting our first Belgian bar we went home and slept.
CIAO BELLA!
